Asthma Treatment
When dealing with asthma, symptoms mostly occur because of other underlying conditions, and not all by itself. The most important aspect of the evaluation is identifying every factor responsible.

Allergy & Asthma Center of Duncanville delivers cutting-edge technology in the area of Diagnostics and Testing. There are a wide range of testing that takes place when determining a diagnosis.
Allergy Injections
For those patients with allergy, sinus, hay fever, and/or asthma symptoms, we usually perform allergy skin testing at the first visit. The testing specifically identifies the allergies (weeds, trees, molds, grasses, animal dander, dust mite) responsible.
Hives & Swelling
Hives, welts, allergic rashes, and swellings are common symptoms we evaluate. The medical name for the hives is urticaria, and the medical name for the swellings is angioedema. Patients can present with either alone, or both together.
Sinus Headaches
Sinus headaches are certainly underappreciated by persons not suffering from them. There is a great range of severity anywhere from mild and intermittent, to severe and daily. The most important aspect of the evaluation is identifying cause.
Food Allergies
Food allergies and sensitivities are common and underappreciated. Sometimes they are obvious, and even more frequently they are insidious. The most important aspect of the food evaluation is identifying every factor responsible.
Difficulty Breathing
Breathing difficulties occur because of other underlying conditions, and not all by itself. There are many possibilities including allergies, infections (sinus, upper respiratory, bronchitis), stomach reflux, exercise, smoking, heart issues, and others.
Chronic Cough
Having lifelong allergies and asthma myself, I enjoy evaluating and treating patients with chronic or persistent cough. In my experience, coughing difficulties occur because of other underlying conditions, and not all by itself.
Sinus & Hay Fever
The most important aspect to understanding and treating sinus or hay fever, is becoming clear about what is responsible for the symptoms. There are many causes including allergies, infections, overactivity of the sinuses and more.
Head Allergies
Eye, Ear, Nose, and/or Throat Allergy: The most important aspect of the allergy evaluation is identifying every factor responsible. I recommend a full history followed by the physical examination, and appropriate testing.
